For SF Bay Area Chai lovers, check out chai at the Nepalese Restaurant, Kathmandu West in Cupertino. (20916 Homestead Rd. Tel. 996-0940) This is as close to the authentic chai that I have got in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, none of the many Indian restaurants in the area seem to make an effort in this direction- their tea is either too watery or too mild or both. Kathmandu West does it right with a subtle Masala flavor and just the right amount of "strength".
